Stephen

from : Bolton, UK

personal object : a baseball cap

I use this baseball cap for sailing; it keeps my bald head safe from the sun. I probably pinched it off my son or son-in-law. It occasionally tries to escape in the wind. Valueless in itself, it represents decades spent enjoying myself on the waters of the Dee and Mersey, the peace and quiet of which are invaluable.

chosen artwork : Young Serbs    Phil Collins, 2001

The individuals portrayed in these photographs all seem at peace and ‘in the moment’ and their images convey a closeness to nature. These are all attributes I value when escaping the pressures of life.
