from : Liverpool, UK personal object : a nasal spray I carry my nasal spray with me at all times. When I was young, I developed a harsh allergy to pollen (hay fever). I have to use my nasal spray every day and I don’t know what I would do without it, now, as it really helps me get through each day. chosen artwork : NY, NY No. X Hedda Stern, 1948 This artwork shares similar ‘cross-cutting’, square patterns to the structure of our own modern society. It seems to be depicting several different scenes, such as a warehouse and a subway. It has an industrial feel, with each abstract colour seamlessly complementing the others to form a comprehensive image of New York from an artistic perspective. |
