from : Vienna, Austria personal object : a camera I have nominated this Canon EOS camera as my special object as it is an important piece of equipment that I take around with me all the time. I have a lot of cameras but I would say this is my favourite and most important of all of them. I have had this camera since around 2012 and I use it on all of my trips, taking pictures of holidays and modern art. chosen artwork : Chicago, Board of Trade II Andreas Gursky,1999 I have chosen this photograph as I am a photographer myself and I am a fan of Gursky’s work. This huge photograph shows what is possible in photography. It also shows how people have to work nowadays - the pressure of working in a modern building, with so many people working in one place. They are like ants in an anthill – it would be a nightmare for me! |
