Alix

from : Liverpool, UK

personal object : a necklace

My necklace was bought from Egypt as a present when I was younger. It is important to me as it is something to remember my nan and grandad by. It was brought back from a visit to the place where my grandad stayed whilst in the army after the Second World War.

chosen artwork : The Pilots’ Jetty, Le Havre, Morning, Cloudy and Misty Weather   Camille Pissarro, 1903

This is a painting of a scene that appears familiar to me. It is a busy scene and has a lot of energy - which links it to Liverpool, the city I have always lived in, and where my family are from.
