from : France personal object : a necklace I wear this necklace everyday, especially when I travel. It was given to me by my aunt in Colombia, who told me I was very wise and that the owl would help me keep my wisdom. She said that the bird in flight represents my free spirit and adventurous soul. I feel I can do anything when I wear the necklace – but the owl reminds me to remain wise, to pause and think before I act in certain situations. chosen artwork : Young Serbs Phil Collins, 2001 To me, this series of photographs represents travel to different places, with each of the five people seeming to display a sense of 'free spirit'. I find the images very powerful, showing personality and emotion. |
