from : origin withheld

personal object : a USB stick

Before I left my country, I was given this USB stick with photos, videos and music on it. These are all memories to me, so I keep this with me all the time. They remind me of where I come from and what I have left behind. Every time that I feel sad I look into my USB and when I see my family and friends, that gives me strength.

chosen artwork : Chicago, Board of Trade II    Andreas Gursky, 1999

Sometimes life looks like this picture; very confusing, too many people, the city, paper work, loud sounds etc. I chose this picture because that’s the way I see my life. But, with my USB stick, I can always take time to look at my computer screen and see my people – my best moments together with my family. That is how I look for peace and order.
